Hi again folks. Here is a special one for all of you. Thanks for all the great tunes Walter...

RIP Walter Carl Becker (February 20, 1950 – September 3, 2017)

Many consider the band's line-up for the 'Everything Must Go' tour of 2003 one of the very best. Not only was it a full and very talented band backing up Donald and Walter (8 incredible musicians and 3 superb backing vocalists); they were very well rehearsed as well. This group was extremely competent and easily adroit at fully and faithfully replicating the exact arrangements and the sound of the actual records in concert. These were also shows where they seemed to be having a wonderful time doing them, even Donald and Walter! And, usually, they would have a past Steely Dan alumni join in on a number or two at each of the shows. The two-day stand at the beginning of October was at Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California. This recording is of the second of the two dates and has renowned musician, producer and arranger John Beasley guesting on "FM", the night before it was legendary guitarist Dean Parks on the encores. Anyway, back to this exact listing that you have before you. This is absolutely one of the very best (if not THE best) live Steely Dan recording ever to be in circulation. It has been selectively traded among collectors for years now but I don't think this one has ever been seen on a public tracker yet. Maybe so... I don't know about all of them. Also, there is supposed to be an actual boot issue that was made from this recording; but I have never even ever seen it listed (for real) at any of the many Steely Dan (or other) fan-run sites that keep up with such things. Alright, enough of all that... and focus... this is YOUR chance here and now. If you are a fan of the 'Dan (even a casual one), any major dude will tell you... that this is one that needs to be in your music collection. Definitely. End of story. I'll let the guys (and gals) take over from here. Enjoy...
